I liked the goodby sadness cocktail as it's a peanut butter cocktail done well. The soy scallop rice was really good and I would come back to eat it again. The rose tteokbokki was great too, reminded me of rice cakes with pasta sauce since it also had mozzarella and basil on top. We did a walk-in, but it was pretty busy so i recommend getting a reservation.

+ rose tteokbokki with gimmari ($19): so so delicious, both creamy & flavorful! this is a MUST get! it wasn't too spicy either and i loved the gimmari (5/5) + beef tartare ($21): this was a bit standard imo. the spiciness overpowered the actual beef tartare flavor. but it paired well with the sliced pear on the side. (3/5) + jokbal platter ($38): super delicious! first time having jokbal but the soybean paste & wasabi paste was yummy. the meat was juicy (5/5) + spicy raw crab noodle ($27): they gave a LOT of crab for the price (compared to other raw crab places i have been to in nyc). it was yummers mixed with the noodles (4/5) + soy scallop over rice ($20): i LOVVE raw scallop and the korean rice & egg yolk made it super flavorful and yummy. i would def get this again. the portion for this is a bit small though compared to everything else (5/5) :: overall, this place was worth the hype imo and i would definitely go back in the future! the dishes were pretty big portions and prices were decent. they gave complementary ramyun ddang & we ordered a bottle of chamisul ($15) and terra ($10) for soju bombs i post food recs on instagram @ jenkneeats !

I've been here twice now and I have to say, the second time was better than the first. Overall, I still think it's a bit overpriced, but the food quality is good and everything is really delicious. The raw marinated crab with noodles was definitely my favorite dish! I wasn't a big fan of the braised beef heel shank. When we went, it wasn't too busy so the service was fast and the servers were attentive! The restaurant itself looks very nice and is clean. Glad I went back a second time!

Great food! Cocktails are tiny but not bad. A lot of the dishes are spicy though (so it was more of a 4 for me bc I'm a baby who can't handle spice - my husband loved it though). I liked the pork jowl platter, the scallops with gim rice topped with an egg yolk, and the noodles in the spicy raw marinated crab (crab was too spicy for me but my husband loved it). The clam soup was also nice, and came with massive sized clams, but warning it came with a mild spicy kick. Only item we really didn't love was the wagyu patty, which was fine but meh. Want to return to try the fried chicken!

Dark spacious restaurant with a selection of unique Korean dishes. Servings were pretty big and meant for sharing. 1. Fried chicken: damn this was crispy. Crackly shell. The crisp on this was insane. Juicy. Kinda wish there was a dipping sauce or for the whole thing to be covered in the sweet spicy glaze but this was good. Came with radish pickles on the side 2. Raw crab noodle: cold noodle dish with raw crabs. Very generous big portion. You'll need to work for it and squeeze out all the raw crab. Not fishy or crabby at all and tasted very fresh. So much crab! 3. Scallop gim rice: fresh raw scallops on seafood rice. This was also good and fresh. In hindsight, felt like we should have ordered more hot food. Having both the raw crab and the scallop felt too raw and cold even though both were great. Would definitely come back to try their other stuff. Kinda wish they had more dessert options since they only have one. Service was good. Food came quickly. There was a lot of space inside so you don't feel squashed together and you can actually hear each other talking. Very Seoul vibes with the dark lighting and all.

Although I don't have a high tolerant for spice, the food here was so addicting, I just kept eating! My friend had heard about this place on social media, and after seeing such their cool futuristic looking menu online, we decided to make reservations to eat here. I've never had marinated raw crabs or spicy webfoot octopus so I was pretty excited to try it here. They started us off with some fried ramen crackers and we ended up ordering: Spicy Raw Crab Noodles, Grilled Tteokgalbi, Spicy Octopus with Bori Risotto, and for a drink, I went with the Green Light cocktail. Starting with the infamous raw crab, we received gloves and a bowl for the crab and it was pretty easy to squeeze it out, but part of me wishes that it was already done for me since I think there might have been some meat that I wasn't able to get out. Taste wise, 10/10. It was hard to tell where the crab was at times since it got mixed with the noodles but I really enjoyed the balance of flavors in this dish. The texture of the raw crab added some silkiness and creaminess to the noodles which I thought was lovely. Next up was the Grilled Tteokgalbi, which included a little performance and reveal with smoke that I thought was fun. I loved how tender the meat was and I would say that was my 2nd favorite dish next to the crab noodles. I'm a big fan of risotto so when the Spicy Octopus with Bori Risotto arrived, I dug right in. Now as delicious as this was, I immediately learned that the spice level in this was no joke. I unfortunately was not able to finish the octopus as it was just too spicy for me. However, the risotto was nice and creamy and I enjoyed every last bite. Highly recommend the Green Light drink if you like your drinks on the sweeter side! It included mezcal, midori, and milk soda which I think made it taste like a spicy alcoholic Calpico drink. The whole dinner experience was lovely, from the service to the décor, and to the food. The menu I saw online was sort of futuristic, spaced themed and it matched with the decorations inside. There's a large structure in the center with lollipops all around that I thought was pretty interesting. All in all, I would say that this place is definitely worth the hype!

Finally a Korean drinking place with amazing food! I was a bit skeptical because prices are fairly high for a pocha/drinking spot but the food is definitely worth it. We ordered the Clam Soup, Mala Pork Belly, and Soy Scallops with Gim Rice and every single dish was phenomenal. The Mala Pork Belly is a must! The inside is very modern and well decorated as well. Would definitely recommend as a go-to spot in ktown.

Wow, I am absolutely blown away. This restaurant is chic and trendy, with modern interior design. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and overall the dining experience was amazing. Soy scallop with gim rice: the scallop was delicious, mixed with rice and egg yolk Spicy raw crab noodles: a classic, it's quite spicy but I loved the flavor. After you squeeze our the crab meat (they give you gloves), it goes so well mixed with the noodles (pretty big portion) Mala pork belly: the meat is so tender it melts in your mouth! I loved the sauces in this dish, it really brought everything together Spicy octopus with bori risotto: you just can't go wrong with the seafood here, the octopus was perfectly cooked They also give you a complimentary ramen snack to start. The prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected in Ktown. Overall I definitely recommend!

Wow! My new favorite bar in NYC. While I was visiting, I stumbled upon this place to escape the rain. The service was great! Everyone was incredibly friendly and they have a coatcheck. For food, I highly recommend the Soy Scallop Over Gim Rice. Packed with umami and flavor - even with its simplicity. Plus, the bartender was helpful amd gave me tips on chef's style of eating the dish too. I sat at the bar and got the "2AM in Seoul", which had so much complexity. Definitely a drink for sipping, as it was quite strong! With notes of oolong, longan, plum, and truffle - the drink had so much to offer and had a pleasant sweetness to it. FYI - they have several tables inside, but you can sit at the bar for a bigger variety of specialty cocktails! Bartender gave me a shot "on the house" too. Such a fun chill vibe!
